Mariesa Gonzales, PT, DPT, Clinic Director

I am originally from Albuquerque, NM, moved away when I was 21. I have moved all over the country from Okinawa, Japan utilizing my Bachelors in Healthcare Management managing a dental clinic for the Navy which gave me a lot of insight in managing people and the business side of healthcare. I found my passion for PT when a Lieutenant Commander took me under her wing and helped me in making a decision for a career change. I have a desire to help people, and becoming a Physical Therapist would fulfill that passion. I moved to Boston, MA to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Northeastern University in 2015. Then moved on to Dallas Texas as an aquatic and orthopedic PT, working at a very manual therapy based clinic and absolutely loved it there. My husband is in the military, so we got orders to move to Tucson. Everywhere I go, I make an effort to make it my home. Tucson has been amazing so far, and I look forward to learning and experiencing what it has to offer.

I have an interest in treating many different populations, specifically the active population to include runners, swimmers, and cyclists. I have experience in treating orthopedic diagnoses, concussion management, chronic pain, and fibromyalgia. I have experience in dry needling the perineural approach, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilization with movement, joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilizations, therapeutic exercise and activities, etc.

I have 2 young kiddos, a husband, and 2 geriatric dogs that keep me very busy. My family is full of energy so I love being active on the weekends, running is my preference. I look forward to helping Tucson become more active!
